Lantmännen
Lantmännen is an agricultural cooperative and northern Europe's leading player in agriculture, machinery, bioenergy and food. Lantmännen is owned by 18,000 Swedish farmers with operations throughout the value chain from farm to fork.
Lantmännen's finance department is digitized with Visma.net
Lantmännen is owned by 20,000 Swedish farmers, has 10,000 employees, operates in some 20 countries and has a turnover of SEK 50 billion. Based on grain, Lantmännen processes the resources of arable land for viable agriculture. Some of our best-known food brands are AXA, Kungsörnen, GoGreen, Schulstad, Gooh, Finn Crisp and Bonjour.
Lantmännen has Group-wide functions tasked with pursuing their respective issues and supporting Group management and the divisions in common issues. Within the framework of these functions is Lantmännen's finance department, which is a customer-oriented service organization that offers the Group's companies in Sweden, Norway and Denmark cost-effective financial services in accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable
For smaller companies, the decision to move from Visma Administration to Visma.net has recently brought many benefits, including
- The supplier invoice flow has been significantly streamlined and is now partly automated.
- Digital authorization and automatic payments speed up and reduce the risk of errors.
- Reporting is much simpler and better, for example, CSV files are now sent directly to the group's common reporting system.
- With everything in the cloud, auditors can easily produce a lot of material themselves during the audit.
Visma's certified partner Traventus helped Lantmännen to implement the solution, and was also an appreciated support and sounding board during the preparations.
"Lantmännen, with its requirements and clear expectations, has challenged both us at Traventus and Visma. We are happy to be part of their digitalization journey," says Mikael Björk, CEO of Traventus.
Well worth the investment
Lantmännen has changed and upgraded business systems before and knows that it is something you need to set aside time for. When it comes to the introduction of Visma.net, there is complete agreement that it was time well invested, which quickly yielded results.
Having several companies with different accounting currencies was important to Lantmännen and one detail that particularly determined the choice of Visma.net was the ability to handle multiple accounting currencies, something none of the other systems they looked at could offer.
More coherent approach
As a central function at Lantmännen, Lantmännen's finance department can now be more strict with the deadlines even for the smaller companies - you work in much the same way regardless of which company you work with. Something that has really been facilitated is the VAT reports, now it is both smoother and more orderly when these are done for all companies at the same time.
A welcome addition with Visma.net is also the order and inventory module where purchase orders, supplier invoices and customer invoicing can be automated, says Gunnar Persson, responsible for Accounting and Reporting in Lantmännen's finance department and continues: Order-inventory-invoice is connected. This was not the case in Visma Administration.
"In short, financial management for small companies has improved considerably," says Maria Eriksson, who is responsible for the small company team in Lantmännen's finance department. In addition to minor ongoing improvements, they are looking forward to expanding their use of OneStop Reporting as a complement to the reporting module in Visma.net. Today, the solution is only used for project follow-up, but the possibilities here are seen as very great.
